I had a 67 Camaro SS, hidden headlights, rag top 350 originally a 3spd, put over 7 4spds in it... loved it and hated it.
Damn engine ate camshafts, took it to an engine machinist, and he said the blocks lifters were drilled at an angle.
Had them filled and redrilled, put a roller cam in.
My dad finally asked me why I don't have a tranny built, rather than going through so many, I thought it would cost too much, but it didn't cost that much.. the sound that thing made sounded like a truck it was so tight.
