CARRIAGE STOP

I have not had anything to do with mini lathes, I would think that any lathe would have a carriage lock, yes, pictures!

Carriage locks generally have a vertical hole through the top of the right front saddle wing, so that the hole id very near the front way of the bed, a bolt goes down through it and threads through a block that extends under the front way and near up to the rack gear, so that when the bolt is tightened, the block draws the carriage tightly against the saddle way.

here ya go

I believe that a carriage lock is not a standard feature on most of those 7x14 lathes (if that is what you have). Googling 7x14 lathe carriage lock will show several youtube videos on how to make one. Little Machine Shop sells some add-ons as well, but we don't know the brand and model of your lathe so it is hard to know if one of these will work.
