Care and Feeding a Mill with some wood working in the same room

I use my metal working on wood. Like saw, mill and lathe.
I have a shop vac clean up in minutes.

Welding I do outside away from both metal and wood working equipment.

Good dust collection is a must. Your lungs will thank you. More than one woodworker has had lung issues.

Hello, brand new to owning a mill. I have a PM728VT on order.

In my one car garage i also do some woodworking with hand tools that include track saw and other wood dust making tools.

My one car garage is also attached to the house, but unheated.

So my questions are how to take care of my mill around wood dust? Is a cover enough?

I am in Ohio so i get hot humid in the summer and bitter cold in the winter. Is a de-humidifier, fan enough to keep the surface rust at bay?

Thanks!
Chad
My wife and I have a similar situation so we bought a small dust collector and when my Machines are not in use I cover them. I use the throw cloth you can get from Harbor freight, it is heavy cloth and works well. We also cover the wood working equipment because oils are equally bad for wood projects.
