Love the plus version and numerous features, which I have to further
explore.

Using the TDA-420 P1 port, I cant get touch probe to work.
The led in probe changes color from green (no contact) to red (contact)
I have probe connected at powerup of TouchDRO, tried no/nc configurations.
Using pinout: 1- Ground - black, 2-red 5V, 3- yellow signal
I'm sure its me somewhere... Thoughts?
Thanks!
Dan

Dan,
Try plugging it into the probe input, which is on the right.

Tried, same issue. maybe I have to put volt meter on signal wire off probe, or scope probe, or bluetooth data monitor.
Which is the correct port, and is the P input signal correct, not q?
Thanks Yuriy!

P or Q will work, but you need to make sure that the right prefix is selected in the probe settings.
Things I would check (in this order):
0. Is probe enabled in the settings
1. Does the signal pin change when you trigger the probe
2. Do you see p0 and p1 change in the data stream when you trigger the probe (BlueTerm or TerraTerm work for this)

Thanks Yuriy, I will check/double check these items
Appreciate your support.

So I got it to work.
Using signal Q. setting in app.
Using 2nd from left input.
So I am confused (which is not unusual) as I referenced this table for the TDA-42
I am using pins 1.2.3, which would indicate pin 3 as "P", from table, but Q setting is working

Also, when I use the wand for edge setting, I get "failed to get axis movement" after I moved the axis wheel and touch edge.

Sorry to be a pest..
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the port/pinout in adapter manual

Dan,
Are you sure you have Pin 3, and not Pin 4? This is the numbering when looking at the TouchDRO's back (not the cables).

For the axis movement detection, the DRO needs to get some samples. I don't recall how many (can look later), but if you move the probe right up to the edge, and then turn on the "auto" mode, there won't be enough samples to determine the direction.

Also, what version of the app are you on?

Regards
Yuriy

Yuriy,
It appears I am using pin 3 for the signal from the probe
No solder bridges between pins.

App - 2024-05-01
I tried the wand again, I turned on adapter, with probe attached, started app, turned on the wand, moved 6 inches in x and y-directions, then back to touch off.. same error (maybe I need additional movement?)
Touching off with probe in manual mode, not wand, and it detects edge fine

Given the wire colors, I suspect you have this probe:

On my machine (latest app build, Firmware v3.0) it works as expected. I will check the wiring to make sure I don't have a typo i the docs, though.
Thank you
Yuriy

Thanks Yuriy I appreciate your help and inputs.
