Bridgeport Shaping Head cutter orientation

Thank you, the spring isn’t strong enough at the mo. To support the tool in the cutting position, it has a little brewers droop!
There should be an adjusting screw for the spring tension also . I'm going off of memory here , but try the upper set screw , this may be that adjustment .

I’ve taken the capper box off to have a good look at it. I have an original Bridgeport tool that I’ve inserted and its orientation is as shown. It has a flat for the grub screw retainer to go up against. It’s actually back to front compared to the sketch images I’ve seen / provided by members in here. Does this look correct to those who’ve used it?

The grub screw I’ve highlighted adjusts the travel of the clapper box, there isn’t any adjustment of the spring tension, just the extent of the travel.
