It is the 20 tooth gear on the gear change assembly in the back of the unit. Anybody have a spare they want to sell? If no, anyone know where I can find one?

I see a lot of Atlas 618 20T lathe gears pop up but I'm not sure that it is the same bore or adapter size.

Bryan , I'm finding a bunch of Atlas stuff down here but wouldn't know what to look for . The lathes have been long gone and I believe one was a 10F if I remember correctly . But anyway , I'm finding gears in the Vidmars and have no clue as to what they came off . Do you have a pic ?

That's a 1/2" bore. I don't have the other gears in front of me but I'm thinking 20DP so...

D=(N+2)/P

D=(20+2)/20

D=1.1" or thereabouts

3/8" thickness

Lets see what I come up with . :grin:

I just went back and checked out what Atlas's I had and sold , one was a 10D . Maybe I'll find something that will work .

I think the 10D gears are all 14DP so bigger teeth than what I need.

I found a 14 tooth . If it looks familiar to your lathe , it's yours . I have to go thru 3 more roll arounds down the other house still , god knows what is down there .

Ah , shoot . You're looking for a MILL gear ! Sorry about that . :grin:

Most but not quite all of the gears in the Atlas mill are from the 618. None that I can recall are from the 10" or 12".
