Visited this incredible outdoor city/train layout a few years ago. It covers about an acre, and is 1:25 scale.

I've checked, this has been around for decades, prices have gone up, open tickets, EU20.75, specific day EU16.75, no refund if rain. People take thier kids there on birthdays, etc. I've suggested it as a place to go eventually. (I have friends near Rotterdam, it's about an hour away on the Metro. I was past it last month, didn't know)
 
Used to be one in Niagara Falls when we were kids. Good fun stuff. It moved away in the late 70s or early 80s.

If it had a mini airport I could fly my model airplanes aand make even more authentic.
 
If those little tiny people were actually talking and moving around, THAT would be impressive
