Looks like the 14 foot flail mower must have hit a tree. Sheared a 3/4 inch grade eight bolt and broke a bracket. Ground out the cracks in the bracket and welded it up. Mower is back up and running.

What kind of hp does it take for a 14’ flail mower?

I think we have about 100 hp at the pro. It is all the tractor wants to run. The 5105 ml John Deere does better. We were running a 12 foot mower ,but it left a two foot unmowed strip in the center of each row. By going to 14 feet wide we only have to make two passes for each row instead of three.
