8 1/2 N Drill Chuck

I just bought a used Jacobs 8 1/2 N drill Chuck at an estate sale, minus the key. I have tried most the major suppliers, for a key without any luck. What I need is an older style key, the newer ones do not fit correctly. Does anyone know where I might be able to find an older style key?

The key listed in the jacobs catalog do not fit. I have three of them. This is an older chuck. The newer keys are different.

If that is all that is not correct, take and drill out the existing holes to fit the newer chuck keys. That way the 8-1/2N chuck is up to date, kind of sorta.

Ken, it's not the pilot, The gearhead is the problem, can't seem to find the correct fit. Either to big or to small.
