I havn't used my lathe in awhile. Looking for something to do, I went out and spent half an hour making a new ogive comparator.
It fits the bullet better, and has a counterbore to accommodate the case neck, so it doesn't wiggle as much as my old Hornady comparator. It seems to work really well.
Nice job! I find that the seating depth (base to ogive) is the most critical dimension in a reload. In my .300WSM keeping this value within .001" gets me a half MOA @ 200 yds.
