I bought an old Kawasaki Triple some time ago and now it is almost ready to use. There is no snow here now and the temperature is about +5 Deg C. So it is time for the first test runs.
My work has been to shorten the fork tubes, since the fork is from a Suzuki GT750 to use the huge drum brake, replace the shocks to better ones, and replace the ignition system. It was too weak and misfired above 6000 rpm. The old system handled three ignition events per revolution since the cylinders are separated by 120 degrees, and was not able to charge and discharge the CDI at higher rpm's. So it has got an ignition system that is separate for each of the three cylinders and now the engine sounds as a Formula One machine
A few pics from the progress.
