Hi everyone
I had to purchase a new mill motor after discovering that the motor on my newly purchased used mill was rewound for 480 volts only. I know its probably a long shot but would like to recoup some money by selling the old motor.
Any ideas where I would list this?

The site rules state that in order to sell your motor you must have a premium membership.

I'm not trying to sell it on here.... I am asking where I would list it on the internet.
Not many hobbyist's would have 480 volt three pase at their home shop.

Okay, I misunderstood.

Portland (or even Vancouver) Craigslist would probably work. Your "customer base" will, of course, be somewhat east of you, so you'll probably be emailing back and forth a bit. Safety suggestion: When a "customer" comes to call, have the motor in the trunk or cab of your vehicle, outside your house/shop/garage. That way, it can remain safely locked untill they arrive, and they don't "get inside your space."

Also - I recall from when I lived in Corvallis several years ago that there are machinists' clubs in the Portland area, Corvallis area and Eugene area. If you can get in contact with them (and if they're still viable), they might let you place an ad in their newsletter:

also (but probably defunct): http://www.portlandmachinistguild.org
