What’s This Swivel Base?

When I bought my milling machine, the seller dug in a storage building and brought out this swivel base. Thought it went with the vice, but the vice already has a swivel base. Is this for a vice I don’t have, or something else?

Looks different from the one on the vise . Measure the pin and the OD of the groove . Could be to a Kurt or clone .

Looks like the swivel to my Kurt, though I can't gauge size from your photo.

Make a fixture plate to go on top of it.

Well, they're a few hundred bucks from Kurt, so you can always sell it and pick up something useful to you.

Did you take those dimensions ? I'll tell you if it's for a Kurt . And if you need a Kurt .....................

The groove OD is 5.8 inches. Pin diameter is 0.781. Vice hold down bolts 5.2 inch OC. Base hold down bolts 7.75 in OC. If it is a Kurt it’s a $600 base.

6" Kurt has a 1.000 inch pin and an 8.250 OD on the groove . I have one of the smaller ones for a 4 inch ( I think ) out in the garage . I'll check it when I go out tonight .

The vice that came with the mill is a 5 1/2 inch UVT (Universal Vice and Tool) which seems to be made in Michigan. Not sure if that is offbrandical. It’s a nice looking vice, kinda hard to keep tight. Probably the operator.
