Hi all
I am in need of some help and advice I wish to build a flame eater, and need recomendations.as i know very little about them. any info will be greatly appreciated.:shrugs:

I've build some Flame Throwers but never a eater so that the only thing I could help with.

Check out Jan Ridders web site!
He will send you the plans for free and help you with any questions!

Otherwise have a look for the Duclos engine.
His book Two Shop Masters is also a worthy read!

Will put up some more after Christmas dinner!!!:biggrin:

Sorry for being late in replying but we have the builders in ,and my desk is under sheets of polithine (boy do i need a spell checker).
I have downloaded a motor from Jans site, and now have to get the materials together, the only problem may be the graphite for the piston and valve.

Hi Brian,

No problem!
Glad you found something that interests you!

Check out any EDM places around you.
They usually throw away the graphite electrodes and there is a lot of useable material left in them for what we do!

Another option is to go to Jerry Howells site.

I have bought some plans from them along with the kits that include the ball bearings and graphite!
They also sell graphite by itself!
