What Spindle Does This Fit?

I got the pictured adaptor in an eBay lot. The left side is a #3 Jacobs taper but I don't recognize the configuration of the right side.

There are no threads for a drawbar which makes me suspect it is supposed to be retained with a nut. However, there was no nut in the lot.

The right side is 2.04" long, 1.283" major diameter, .715" smallest diameter I could get the calipers on.
There are two (opposing) slots, .508" wide, .924 across the flats.
The over all length is 3.75"

I have cleaned it and stoned a few burs off. It's in very serviceable shape but I don't know what spindle it fits. Do you?

Might be a NMTB taper such as possibly #30, but I do not recognize the two flats, which I wonder if they are for retention by setscrews in the spindle.

Years ago, I bought a Wadkin Bursgreen wood shaper. It had a removeable spindle that could be replaced with a drill chuck (not sure why?) The 30 taper went in the spindle and locked in a slot like that one. You could then mount a drill chuck on the Jacobs taper. In my 40 years in the woodworking trade, I have never had a use for a drill chuck in a shaper. So, it sat in a drawer until we replaced the shaper.
Looked the same as your piece.

I haven't done the trig to determine if the taper is 7/24 but it looks close to the NMTB 30 dims. The piece is soft enough to file and there are no marks as would be expected from even flat point setscrews.

Woodworking? I hadn't thought of that. I'll keep that in mind.
I found some pictures of a Wadkin Bursgreen shaper spindle and arbor on the web. Did your machine look like the pictures? Click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

That looks exactly the same. The spindle with the drill chuck didn’t have the extra length that the spindle did.

Looks a little bit like some quick switch tooling I have I will post a pic for comparison later today when I get home
