What Is It?

Hi people,

I think you're right. Looks like a drive plate to me. Never seen one quite like it, normally the slots go all the way through.

Must be I think. Can't see any other use for it. It does have a half inch threaded hole in the face maybe to extend a bolt out to catch the dog.
