What is it? Tool grinder acc.

his came with my tool grinder purchase & I'm not sure as to what it is, my guess is it is a wheel shaper/former of some type as it has a wheel dresser mounted into it.

The rear knob moves the head laterally in a dovetailed slot, the knob forward of it rotates it until it hits the stops, it also moves on dovetailed slots in the other direction.

So I was on track, the tag is missing so I don't know the brand but it has 3" .400-.005 on it also A-1513

The accessory you have will dress a grinding wheel radius and angles.
Using the rotary axis and setting the diamond stylus with a height gauge or gauge blocks,
convex or concave radii may be dressed on a surface or tool grinder wheel.
Using the dovetail slide angles may be dressed.
Also angles tangent to a radius may be dressed with a little more effort.
