I have a piece that came with some items I purchased. I know how it functions but I wonder if any one here know what machine it belongs too. It appears to me to be an attachment wonder if anyone recognizes it.

Looks like a dividing head with tailstock. Get a better picture of that dividing plate with the holes.
While it kinda looks like a bench-center setup, the mounting post on the bottom rules that out. Might be for a surface grinder?

Yes, that would be my guess also.

Definitely for a grinder. Looks like it does offsets, too. Reamers, taps, straight-flute tools.

Sure it came with one machine, but could be used on many, to hold / index something between centers. Would be great on a milling machine to cut keyways, or splines. On a grinder to sharpen reamers, and such as mentioned. to mention a few thoughts.
