Weldon shank tools?

if i have a tool holder that is set up with a set screw it is intended to engage a weldon shank? or can straight a shaft tool be used in the set screw tool holder?

Any straight shaft shank can be used . Grind a flat on the shank to engage the set screw . Make sure it is engaged by pulling the tool towards the cutting surface .
