Way oil on oilite bushings

I know that theoretically it's not a good idea to use way oil on oilite bushings, but does anyone have practical experience where it actually caused a problem?

I've never heard that it wasn't a good idea, nor can I imagine why. I must assume that, since you are asking, the oilite bushings have ceased to exude oil.

i would second the motion that oilite bushings are fine to use with way oil or just about any other type of lubrication oil that i could imagine

I understand way oil has some kind of additive that makes it sticky, wonder if that means coagulative..don't see any discussion about it online.

Asking as a protective measure, haven't tried it and no problem with my bushings as of now.

You might want to warm the bearings to help absorb the thick oil
