I finally got around to making a way cover for the McLane mill. I bought some roofing rubber I think from Home Depot for $30. Enough to do two or more machines. I struggled with buying the pre-made one but settled for this. I am considering one of the accordion covers for the front of the Y-axis. Any feedback on the accordion ones will be appreciated. I may shorten the one I just made for the back but want to use it for a while then I will decide.

"Roofing rubber" never heard of it, I will have to check that out. Price seems very reasonable. Last time I bought similar rubber it was for making gaskets and I got it from McMaster; not sure how much I paid but I'm sure it was a whole lot more than $30.

I checked my order history and I did get it from Home Depot and I think it was free shipping to my door.

EPDM is not compatible with oils. They soften it and also cause it to swell. Keep that in mind.

Neoprene is pretty good with oil, Viton is better. Nitrile is also very good.
