There is a wealth of good info on utube, but if you're like me and want to get the info offered without spending a lot of time in front of the computer here is a simple way to speed the vids up to 2X the normal playing speed.
Open the vid and look at the lower right corner of the screen, you'll see 4 symbols, click on the second one from the left, it looks like a 6 tooth gear, a 6 petal flower, etc.
When you click on it you have a few choices, click on "speed"
You can then choose slower or faster viewing speeds. Most vids can be watched 1.5X while still understanding the audio, it speeds up with the visual. I can watch some at 2X but its like listening to "Alvin and the Chipmunks"( for those with enough years to know what that means).
If you want too slow down or speed up at anytime during the vid just click on the gear/flower and make your choice.
