Hello all, I am in the process of repairing a walker magnetic chuck and thought I would take some pics for everyone to kind of see how they work. This is my first time so it should be interesting. I have contacted Industrial magnetics through walker and have gotten a response and they say they do carry replacement parts. Waiting to hear back from my last reply but that would be amazing if they do still have parts for these older chucks. Would save me from having to make them anyway. Anyway, let’s start with where I’m at. Here’s a few pics

If you’re looking for an opinion I think it looks in good shape. All the link holes look cylindrical and the pins and control rod look good. Looks like they had oil in it. Wear strips on bottom of mag are clean. Only thing I saw that might need attention was that slotted oval thingy. Which I’m guessing is what lifts the mag to the underside of the top”working” surface? Looks like a fairly easy part to duplicate.

Yes sir, that’s all I saw wrong with it. Hoping the parts guy can get replacement parts for it. I’ve got 4 other ceramic chucks that I need to check out as well

seems like a part that is easy to crank out. an hour or so worth of work from sizing, cutting, roughing and finishing. maybe 2 or 3 if you are slow.
