Thanks Nelson for the videos. It's amazing how much man power was needed to support the war efforts & how men & women stepped up to help out, even the children pitched in. In the welding video the narrator was talking about how the job was hard work & that you needed to be physically fit to do the job. In another video the man asked the lady working what she planned to do with her earnings, she said "save it". This is totally opposite of what I'm seeing our government tell people today. I'm seeing people today being taught not to work hard & to spend all the money you have & when you spend all that you have go spend someone else's . I didn't mean to rant. I'm still proud to be an American I'm just frustrated with the direction that I see our country headed in. The videos just reminded me of how lucky & how blessed I am to be the recipient of the hard work & the determination that so many men & women had for our country. I thank GOD that I was born here but at the same time I feel like its our responsabilty to pass on the same freedoms & Opportunity to the next generation. There were alot of highly skilled men & women back in those days. My dad grew up in that time era, he's 74 now & still amazes me to this day around the farm how he can get into a situation & look around at his immediate resources & solve problems. I think of him as a modern day Macgyver. He's the type of person that can get more done with less resources than anyone I know. It just seems like in todays society if you have a flat tire on your car then it had to be someone elses fault & the only way to get it fixed is to call some kind of government agency to start the process, get Hazmat involved, have a lawyer standing by,you know what I mean. Sorry for the rant but I really enjoyed the videos.
