they are neat little four cylinder motors.

if motor is not all saltwater eaten up.

is there an auto transmission that will hook up to it?

or are they just good for doorstops?:)

dont quote me on this but i heard that a escourt early model trans would fit, i had a webcraft with a 351 windsor hp marine engine, its now in my sons truck and its all that truck wants. his truck is a 68 f 100 with a aod the only thing i had to change was fuel pump and distributor, motor only had 46 hrs on it before we pulled it, i snaged a old dock cable and trashed the transom:whistle:Mac
 
4 Cyl Mercruisers

Worked in a boat shop at Lake Powell in 1970 for short time, The 4 cyl mercs were marine version of the Chevy II engines.

you're the last person i suspected that would

get a case of 'over answeritis'.:)

that's amazing that they could do

that under Ford's nose.

especially at the heigth of Ford's power.

Ford did get in trouble for being 'isolationist' before Pearl Harbor though.
