We have been working on Arky's shop when he isn't working doubles at his day job. So far we have wired his Andry Chow lathe and test ran it. We've wired the Shaper and ran it. We wired the Summit lathe and it sounds terrible. Took the belts off of it and the motor bearings are shot. I pulled the motor off tonight and he is going to clean it up a bit and tear it down and replace the bearings. We have the 2 milling machines wired up and the Rambo mill gear box sounded terrible also so we pulled the motor off of it and I took it to my shop for disassembly. They took the armature and end bell to work and cleaned them up got some new bearings for it and I put it back together this afternoon and it still sounded horrible. Seems the noise is coming from the gearbox. Bill said he would drop the gearbox and we will go thru it next. Still have a lot of wiring to do yet. Sorry guys but I didn't even think to take any pictures.
