Unistrut Trolly

I’m actually looking to make a unistrut bridge crane for my shop for the same reasons.

Nice addition. Anything to help with lifting heavy awkward objects is a plus.

Nice shop, sir! I could live full-time in a shop like that.
Ha! I practically DO live out here...Me and my little shop dog (Jack Russell Terrier)...mama stays at the house. My son and I are partners in a 1962 Piper Cherokee PA-28 (gotta love the old stuff!)...Had a prop issue a while back, replaced it and I got the old one.

What is the load capacity of the system (channel, trolley, and anchors)? I know a chuck and rotary table aren't quite big block Chevys, but I'm curious about how you rate your capacity and what the limits are. You see, I'm in the same boat when it comes to deadlifting on the shop floor...

Didn't see the load rating for the 12 gage channel but Likely has more to do with the fastening system than anything else.
With a safety factor of 2.5 Seems likely to be more than adequate for anything I'd be lifting
I can see designing a XY system along those lines. With the retail trolly cost of $17 it seems like a deal.
