Two Lucas

I have the privilege of assembly and commissioning two Lucas Boring Mills One a 60 inch x travel the other a 120 inch x travel.
Both will receive a new Accurite DRO
These workhorses have the 5 inch spindle.
One with a #7 Morse Taper, in over thirty years in this business I have NEVER seen a # 7 Morse Taper.

The little one was in peices, the peices all came over a scale and came in the door at 36000 lbs not sure about the big one.

I ask them if they have tooling for this machine, as I have never seen any #7 Morse Taper tooling at any of the used tool dealers I go to....

I was looking at buying a large Monarch lathe a couple of years ago. The head stock was a MT7 and the tail stock was a MT6.
