I have been trying to get the basement back in shape after the new HVAC, then I had the septic root that dumped S H I T T Y water on my arbor press, and paint shaker. Plus that wound up making me move everything out of the dumping area, and my shop also flooded when the water had no where else to go and blew the toilet wax ring out, and just started dumping in my primary hand tool shop.

Well this got really bad, as I am just unable to clear space. I keep pulling more and more out as I am trying to clear space. My brain keeps pulling the oh lets do this while we're at it... ADHD...........>>>>>>> I now have no workable areas.

I'd like to borrow @ChazzC to get cleaned up. Can I rent you out?

Somehow I have lost tons of space. What used to fit, is not even close.

wah, wah :cry:I would do a crying emoji, but I can't bring up anything on the bar, it's acting like it's blocked. (firefox new install, I turned off block popups, but it's still blocked apparently adblock is blocking that on HM. gotta figure out why it's different in Firefox vs Chrome).

Well SH*T , guess that counts you out as a candidate for some of my crap down here . On a good note , I used the band saw , the sander and some scrap 3/4" furniture parts to make up 4 chair seats for the daughter's chairs . The tops aren't sanded yet as I have to locate my trusty old half sheet sander . All corner radii have been inspected with the Starrett radius gages . +or- half a broomstick handle was my set tolerance , all passed .

I checked out a 4' x 8' marine plywood price and said no way with all this extra furniture lying around . It was a win win for the day so far , but it's not dark yet . Stay tuned . ( I need a few new belts for the belt sander , I have 200 disks but no belts left )

Gee, I’d like to help but remember I’m one-armed until sometime in February and then I’ll have 4 or 5 months of projects to catch up on and I’m waiting for a consulting proposal to be accepted and then it will be Summer. Sorry

I was aware. Was just putting it out there how desperate I am to get back to having workspaces.
My ability to spin new project after new project and disorganize everything is killing me.
I keep digging a deeper hole.

Be like Dave: dig a really deep hole, push the mess into it, cover it over with a nice thick slab and start fresh!

I am not like Dave. I've seen pics of his garage.......
I am usually more organized and try to cleanup after each days work. Because if I don't I can't find a place to work.
I try to put my tools back after using them ... KEY WORD TRY.
but right now my hole is deep. The HVAC, then heating (after the install 2 months later), then septic, now about to be oil tank removal.
and adding a reorg into the mix (bad idea). I should have stabilized first. has caused a disaster. I even brought in my stereo from outside to fix my balance potentiometer which was cutting out the right channel this summer. then decided to play with my old Technics phono, since no other sound system here has a phono input. I tried my other units but without the phono, it won't amplify the channels. so now my tablesaw has stero, phono, albums, speakers, wire.

my miter saw has an attempt at my organization, my floor has boxes for throwing things that I can't figure out, so toss them into those to kind of figure it out later. no floor, no worktops, no organization... BOOM

There you go... Dave 2.0

I was referring to his habit of burying stuff in the backyard.

Have you seen his basement?
Chazz, are there any bodies buried back there? Not machine bodies? Or is that the goal to make it so no one will ever be able to find them

No not really, just a pic of some vidmars, or toolboxes... I can't remember.
