I thought I would show off this monstrous Troyke rotary table I rescued from a previous employer. I came to be friends with some people in the machine shop we had on site and spied this gathering dust on a shelf, it was useless to them since their CNC equipment had obsoleted it. After I inquired about it, it happened to grow a pair of legs and find its way to the trunk of my car .
It takes either two people or an engine hoist to lift it which is why I've got it rolling around on a small dolly for now. The build quality is incredibly robust, definitely intended for constant industrial use. Curiously I noticed it actually has sight glasses in a couple spots, so I would assume parts of the mechanism are meant to run in an oil bath.
I need to contact Troyke and see if they can give me any info on oil type, servicing etc.
Probably the last rotary table I'll ever need!
