Troubleshooting the TouchDRO axis calibrate function

Hello all. I'm trying to troubleshoot the TouchDRO axis calibrate function. It seems my pre-made adapter with micro USB ports isn't getting counts from the Absolute Plus scale. I don't know what "version" that would be, but it has the round 5.5mm? x 2.1mm? power plug.

Anyway, when I position the indicator to the 1st starting point, it says that it isn't getting or got less than the minimum 10 counts. This has happened on the 2nd reading as well, and once I actually got both readings and it calculated a value. I read here that the Absolute Plus count value is 2540, so I used that and my Bridgeport mill has, so far, X and Y axis DROs! Does anyone know why I'm not able to use the calibrate function?

I bought the Absolute Plus scales and the TouchPro adapter several years ago for a square column Rong Fu clone bench mill, but after several mills and now this Bridgeport, I'm finally trying to get this TouchDRO system running.

Thanks, in advance for any insight into this scale calibrate problem.

Jim,
What version of the app are you using?

I downloaded the current version on Google Play which is v.3.24.05, build 2024-05-01.

There must be something happening with your adapter, I think. The very first build of TouchDRO V3 had an aggressive check for reading sanity, but I change it to at least 10 readings in 30 seconds. Your adapter would be sending 10-20 readings per second, so the fact that the app is not getting 10 good readings smells like a bad data stream.
Can you install a Bluetooth terminal app (Terra Term, etc.) and check that you are gettin clean data?

Also, a silly question - if TouchDRO connected to the adapter when you are calibrating it?

Yes, connected. I checked, and the x and Y axis work, that is entering the 2540 counts manually and setting absolute 0 on both axis that persists, switching to incremental, cranking the axis wheel 5 times gives 1.000 inches +/- .001" it works. The tach works. Doesn't that mean the adapter is getting data?
I will be working on the Bluetooth terminal data suggestion this week.
