Just finished up this install series, and thought you guys might enjoy. I already had a TouchDRO on my PM-728VT, so I knew I'd eventually go with one on my lathe.
I went with the ultra-tiny 1-micron KA200 glass scale for the cross-slide, which I don't see a lot of people using. Worked out great, but they ARE hard to find. Ended up ordering one from eBay. 5-micron KA300 for the carriage. Display travels with the carriage. I'm REALLY happy with how everything turned out. It might not be quite "davidpbest" quality, but I think it's dang close
