Tool Testing Routines In EMC2

Anything with a roller guide on the end would be useless for CNC. The roller guide is for following a template or edge and would interfere with any CNC guided movement. I use the carbide bits in my CNC all the time with good results. I even use them for light cuts in aluminum.

is waaaay to heavy duty for a router table!

oh well, now i'm prepared to build some furniture or something!:)

I use a Bosch RotoZip on my CNC table. It's light, powerful, and dependable.

we ended up using Dremel 300 because that's what

Probotix had a tool holder for.

Pilotless

The pilots may not actually be a problem. Quite often they can be removed easily.

CNC er's

what i'm after is a list of the standard router bits to test.

some suggestions on how to get the most tests done in a block of material.

just figured out i can go partway in from each end.

i was going to make a pass all the way through.

Some will work in some cases but most not, they usually have a threaded shank protruding below the end that the bearing fits over. They could be used for parimiter work though
