Rain is expected, but it's always a good show, and good flea market. Some of my favorite vendors are no longer there. But there are always tools, and machine tools.

Lots of hit and miss engines, steam, etc.. with the weather forecast I don't know what to expect.. I still think people will come out..

I'm hoping to go, bring my dog and my wife... Bring a bag or wagon to carry the goodies.. Or bring your lawn tractor , or golf cart to wander around.

I can't believe I haven't heard of this before! We travel to Macungie to a couple shows most years. Bangor is right around the corner. Will need to check this one out for the October show.

It's a great show. I don't think the first show each year has the hit and miss engines, I think it's only a flea mkt. I think most of the farmers are tending to the fields.. This time of year, and oct are great, although this time is usually hot . hot. hot.. I buy a bunch of stuff, I sit and listen to the music and have a lunch or ice cream, or apple fritter like thing. If you are into hit and miss, or old engines, there are always people selling off theirs, or buying. There's always people selling parts.. plenty of belting available. I got my Parker vise there for a song.. I have gotten quite a lot of decent things there. I even got a branding iron with my initials, so I can burn my finished wood working projects.

There's a small train ride (loop) for the kiddies, and the big kiddies as well.

I like the big engines that they have restored. I love hearing them start it and run it. The sound is beautiful.
I can't imagine being a steam tender during the heat though. That's a job I am not made for. I think I would be passed out from the heat. Grilling is hot enough on a hot night.. tending the steam engine on a blazing hot day... I give the lady and gentlemen their due.. :clapping:

oops, forgot to mention the tractor pull... These are not going to be your fully modified tractors, most are stock , to a little beefed up... not full blown mods with a hundred thou into them. Still I enjoy watching.. I like seeing the different strategies.

some pics from the show, we left early, it was too hot for my dog and wife. The humidity was extreme due to the rain they had yesterday eve.
Some roads were washed out due to the rain.

Stopped by @Alcap a couple of times, but he wasn't there. bummer.

I should have taken more photos, but didn't think of it until later. There was a lot (more than usual) people selling machinist tools.

Gotta love the sound of a big steam engine

Glad you enjoyed yourself, sorry we missed meeting up , had my grandson and daughter come ,walked around with them . He enjoyed the little train ride . Later my son and family came and spent time with them . Did you in the Steam Shed ? Neat build the members have with some steam engines and belt driven equipment. Thank for taking pictures, I keep forgetting to bring a camera because the phone I have doesn’t focus anymore.
