I learned to drive in an AMX! Oh Yeah!

I was sharing my racing experience with a couple Gen X guys. I told them I had raced 4 years, when you start chasing points it becomes a job and looses the hobby level enjoyment (I digress). I had 3 different cars all Chevelles, a 69, a 68 and a 70, all SS, the 68 and the 69 were 396 cars which were in reasonable shape and the 70 was a hull which we tubed and put a 427 in. one of the guys looked at me and says "you cut and tubed a 70 Chevelle SS?, the is horrible, why didn't you restore it?". Well says I, "when I did it; it was a hull and only 15 years old, it was just an old car", perspective is everything....

I was part of a racing team in NM in the early 80s. We ran "late model sportsman" class in the dirt. Our primary car was made from a 70 Mustang. We cut the body off the car and put it over a tube chassis. Barbaric!

My dads friends dad had a bunch of muscle cars fully restored, I don’t fit in any corvettes or the barracuda but I do fit in a firebird and a gto, I didn’t take many pictures but my brother got a ton

Hey, there is nothing that will overcome the smile of a man in a 1969 426CI himi cuda..... a 1970 big block Mach 1, a 427 Chevelle SS 1960's preferred and a AMC 390 AMX has a similar affect....

Unless that man is 25, has no connection to muscle cars, and grew up on Fast & Furious (puke).
