Going to look at this chuck this morning. Looks to be a 6 in. Buck AdjusTru with bolt-on reversible top jaws, no back plate. I already have one and don't really need it, but the price is really good (<$100). Am I missing something?

If you don't need it why not pass on it so somebody who needs it can buy it.

My address - in order to forward it?

The idea of passing on it so someone who needs it can buy it might sound noble, but more often than not it'll be purchased by someone wanting to make a quick profit. Last year a friend of mine started having health problems. He let it be known that he had a mill and lathe he would sell since he could no longer use them.

He was contacted by a fellow supposedly trying to get into the hobby, but was somewhat short on cash. In the end my friend sold him the machines for a more than reasonable price in an attempt to help him out. Within a week both machines were listed on craigslist for almost double the price. So much for helping out a fellow hobbyist. My friend was scammed by someone looking to turn a quick buck.

If you have any interest in or need the chuck don't hesitate to buy it. If you don't want it pass on it Just keep in mind that some people may be interested in it, but for reasons different than yours.

Good news, bad news, more good news.

Good news: It is a genuine Buck and in better shape than the one I have.

Bad news: I'm going to be keeping it.

Good news: I'm going to sell the one I already have.
