Whilst searching for gear making info I blundered into this vid
at nature.com The Antikythera mechanism.
I do not know how to load this on the site but its awesome.
It makes me feel quite humble I think I will slide back under my rock.
I hope you can find it its well worth the effort.

I cannot view video while I'm at work but looked it up on wikipedia. You just never really know what they were capable of way back when, or just how much they knew about everything. Not all knowledge is ever published and never will be.
