tried the search function and it keeps telling me something about a security error? Anyways the gear box for my lead screw is a little difficult to engage into reverse. Forward seems fine. As soon as it hits the detent it engages . Going from nuetral to reverse or forward to reverse I have to "jam" it to the left a little past the detent to get it to engage. If anyone has insight into this it would be greatly appreciated. No QCGB on this machine either

Strtspdlx,

Although I'm not impressed by the results of a sample search, it works OK for me. What are you viewing the site with?

On the gearbox problem, you need to dismount the box and have a look at the dog clutches. I'm not really familiar with the box, never having had one. But from looking at the illustrated parts list in the light of your description of the problem, my guess would be either that the REV dog teeth are buggered or that the fixed one is too far away.

I use the mobile internet I believe it's called safari on my iPhone. I tried using tapatalk but it won't allow me to sign on.

Thanks for the response. I suppose I'll try to get it apart today. Thanks

Well I got it apart. Cleaned all the gunk off and reassembled. The lever has a good bit of play between the shaft and lever itself and the screw wasn't snug when I took it apart. Works better now I don't have to over extend the arm past the detent for it to engage and nuetral is a lot easier to find.

Just taking them apart and cleaning out decades of accumulation seems to often result in an improvement. Even if they look clean on the outside.

On your Tap-a-talk comment, Nelson installed an Add-on but it returns an error message. He wrote them and is awaiting a response.
