Taper Gage

Looking through some boxes and found what look to be brand new Starrett 269 A & B Taper Gages.
Is there anything these do that an adjustable parallel or telescoping gage can't do?

They are mostly used for quick and dirty checking of hole sizes.

I've got a set and would NOT get rid of them. They can save your butt when you have no other way of measuring something. Can be used for a lot of things in addition to hole sizes like keyseat sizes, gaps, slots, etc..
