Tap magic for aluminum - horrible cinnamon smell

Is there another/better fluid to use? I bought a 16 oz container of this and while it works fine it smells horrible. The cinnamon burns my lungs. Who thought this was a good idea!?

Ordinary WD-40 is the best tapping fluid for aluminum you can buy. I tolerate the cinnamon smell on Tap Magic for steel (the old recipe), because it's the best, but not for aluminum.

Odd. I like the smell. My wife hates it, and can detect it no matter how much I scrub my hands after using some.

I like it also. I also liked the chemical smell of the old stuff you can get anymore!

Smells like "Machine shop".

I like it too. Olfactory senses are very strong memory triggers, and it brings back good memories. The new stuff doesn't smell as good, but I am out of the old formula.

Yea i liked the old smell too, it worked good as well. Other than the fact that it, destroyed your blood cells, rotted your brain, caused cancer and led to birth defects , it was great.

I still have a gallon of the old formula Tap Magic and take great care to not get it on my skin. I'm pretty sure any that gets there goes directly to your liver. It does work well though, MUCH better than the new improved stuff.

The old formula for steel smelled like the new stuff for aluminum. If enough smoke from it is inhaled and you see purple dots on everything I will know for sure. We used that stuff by the barrel in the early 80s on large oilfield parts. Glad I am not in that environment any longer. We did not have a clue what we were dealing with. The new improved tap magic for steel is better than nothing though.
