Don't cut it up. Use it as your tool grinder. Just mount a narrow cup stone where the blade was (you'll have tilt, miter gauge, set your motor up as reversable). Really only need to make a selection of covers to go over the hole for various wheel positions.
I have an old Craftsman table saw (cast iron top) - slapped an abrasive disk on it for creative cutting of uni-strut. Worked like a dream.
