Has anyone converted their lathe saddle to a mini t-slot table? Seems like it would be very useful for various operations. I've seen them on Chinese lathes and had one on my old 3-in-1 lathes. ( Grizzly and ShopTask ). Could mount vices or other appliances using the t-slots. You can see the t-slot table in this video of mine on the ShopTask 3-in-1. (12 years ago)

Mine came with the accessory cross slide which was called Production Slide, I cannot remember the part number at this time. Was very convenient to have many a time. The was/is a rough casting available for the Logan/Southbends? that you had to finish. It does fit the Atlas/Craftsman as I know others had used it.

If you follow that link, you’ll find a place to buy the accessory pdentrem has above.

I have one on mine. My opinion is that it’s an improvement over OEM. But its primary utility is in giving me a place to set my indicator holder and rear parting tool.
