Usually Grizzly lathes come with steady included. Did you get it new or used? I have G0602 which came with both steady and follow rests. Tell/show us what you have.

I got a used CM lathe with no steady rest. The equivalent Grizzly steady rest was $250+. The BusyBee equivalent was under $100. If you want to by one. Admittedly it is not top end but it is what would have come with the lathe.

I have been noted for a lot of spaced out ideas, here is another one. So I need a steady, a big steady
for a big lathe. Although not hard to fab up, the main thing is it to be able to lock unlock & swivel.
I swear I come up with this stuff while sleeping more like dreaming. Why not, a big pipe vise in the
barn. It opens locks down, big enough, got rid of the jaws, milled the bottom flat some drilling and
tapping. Made a bed clamp. All I have left is to come up with the right type of (I want roller bearings)
It will have a 5inch capacity which I need for pipe threading. A lot of this threading is usually scd. 80
pvc pipe thats why the roller bearings. Suppose I could turn a big time bull center but I cant find alum
stock that big. I'll snap a pic when I get this thing done.
