The steady rest originally had brass tips. I fabbed up a live set of rollers...
Winter doldrums...ya can only watch so much TV and political news...lol

Will do...I still have the brass tip set along with the bearing set. I can switch back and forth...

I know there are advantages and disadvantages to both, the rollers and the brass tips.

My steady came with both. I leave the brass installed just cuz.
