Hello, I would appreciate help identifying this steady rest. I bought a lathe in the summer, came with this steady rest, which does not belong to the lathe.

Anyways I would like have a steady rest, but I do not have $600 plus shipping to Canada for new one from Logan. My plan is to either sell this one and put the money towards buying one or modifying this one for my use. But I do not want too modify it if it is rare.

Any help would be great!

I wish I could help you.
I have a similar situation here. Have a vintage Monarch (CK12) and am looking for the correct steady rest for it. So far I have purchased 2 steady rests that I could modify and make them work. But if I could find someone with the lathe they belong to I would be rather pleased - as would they I suspect. The first step of course would be to I D them.
I could post photos of them but don't want to hijack your thread.
