Standard Modern Metal cutting lathe - $3,500 (Mariposa, CA)

If this were optioned with both english and metric threads I'd be calling. The S-M 1340 and 1334 are my dream lathe for the shop! An Emco V13 is right up there as well.
 
How long is the spindle in this lathe?
 
I have an Emco V13 as well as a Standard Modern 1660 (16x60") and I can tell you that I love them both, however the SM 1660 is actually a far better machine, with a ton more features (a dream to thread on the SM, so easy), more weight and more rigidity, and will hold better tolerances. That said, i plan to keep both, Two is better than one. right?
