How many of us have or use a Springfield Lathe? I have one from the 1940s or so and is about 16 x 32. Lots of hours on it
and it is used primarily as a collet lathe. It has a #3 morse taper tailstock and a #4 in the headstock. It has a 3 phase motor
mounted on top of the gearhead and probably about 2 horsepower or so. It needs a bit of TLC but actially performs quite well for what I ask it to do.
