Sphere 10" lathe (Atlas clone)

Hi, This is my first post here so thanks for accepting me. I am now the proud owner of a small Sphere 10" (a UK Atlas clone) lathe. Initially it had a few niggles (like stuck parts) that I managed to fix, however I found the change feed idle gear has thrown a tooth due to the feed being jammed at the tail stock end. I have found a 3D printer file of the change gears and imagine a 100% print might be strong enough. My question is has any body done this? if so how successful was it? Thanks.
