somewhere on here we have a map with members locations on it ... makes it pretty easy to find other members in your area .

The map and the member search are not too good. If I try to find members via the search using locations from the map I do not necessarily get any results. The same goes the other way, I do not see members on the map that I found by the search.
This would (in my opinion) be a good thing to improve on (hint, hint admins!!). I would like to find members in my area with similar interests. I also understand privacy concerns. Maybe a check box in preferences that would allow/disallow member searches by location?? I suppose that would have to be part of the forum software - any other ideas?
 
A few of us just across the line in NC. :)
 
Welcome from Colorado altho according to the map I do not exist.
