Something is eating our violets.

About two weeks ago our healthy and vibrant violets started show signs of a predator. I noticed clumps of brown and white egg pods.
My neighbor says the brownish ones are poop?
If you have ideas about what it is or how to kill the little buggers please let me know.
Thank you.

We have beetles that lay their eggs on the bottoms of all our veggies . My daughter says they are called aphids . She attacks the eggs each night by pulling the leaves off that are infested .

Could be more than one predator- I would put out some bug-getta for snails and some Diazanon or Malathion for insects
I haven't had much luck with Neem oil- seems too weak

i think Diazanon or Malathion may just be the answer.
Although, I don’t think we can buy Malathion in California.

Interesting, our violets seem to be indestructible and spreading everywhere. I'm always ripping them out of my garden. I had a pot with raspberries in it, and somehow the violets got in the pot and crowded out the raspberries. The raspberries had the last laugh though and sent an underground runner out of the pot drainage holes and spread in the garden. Can't complain really, but raspberries spread like mad. Eventually I will have to dig them up in an attempt at controlling them. Raspberries hate being confined and like to run free. Kind of like me I guess.

So I have a few spare violets. Need some?
